Adding or Removing a Custom Class for a Drug

This topic is intended for Independent pharmacies only and is not applicable to Rexall pharmacies.

A drug can be assigned a Custom Class for pricing or reporting purposes.

Adding a Custom Class for a Drug

To add a Custom Class:

  1. Open the Drug Folder.

  2. Select the Alternative tab.

  3. Select Add. A new row is added.

  4. Dropdown the Third Party Plan field and select the Third Party that the Custom Class should apply to.

  5. Dropdown the Custom Class field and select the Custom Class.

    Custom Classes can be created from More > List Maint > Custom Class.

  6. Optional: Select the Block Update checkbox to block future drug updates from overriding the Custom Class.

  7. Select Save.

Removing a Custom Class for a Drug

To remove a Custom Class:

  1. Open the Drug Folder.

  2. Select the Alternative tab.

  3. Select the Custom Class row to remove.

  4. Select Remove.

  5. Repeat steps 3 - 4 for any additional Custom Classes that need to be removed.

  6. Select Save.
